A little bit about us...

We are members of a global community of organisations dedicated to fighting malaria. In 2008, the United Nations announced the Global Malaria Action Plan – the summary of work by many of these organisations and setting out the way ahead. This Plan established the goals of providing a bed net for every person in Africa who needs one in Africa by 2010, with the ultimate goal of ending malaria deaths by 2015.
Malaria No More UK combines brings its expertise in communications, campaigning and co-ordination with the private sector to change the world and eliminate malaria forever.
With deadlines looming, we are itching to get to work.
Our reasons
Never before has there been such a surge in global support for ending deaths by malaria. Governments, charities, businesses and faith groups are all coming together around this momentous goal.
Preventing malaria is now easier than ever, with better bed nets [link] that repel and kill mosquitoes, costing just £5 to cover a mother and baby, or a brother and sister and which last for for up to five years. Over 100 million bed nets have already been pledged by the eight richest countries in the world. We need to see that pledge delivered and we need more nets still , but we need more, as well as treatment and education.
- We believe that every child’s life matters.
- We believe that nobody should die from malaria - thisan easily preventable and treatable disease.
- We believe we can end malaria deaths by 2015.

Our partners
We work within the wider anti-malaria community in the UK and internationally. The UK has a great deal of malaria experience within the Department for International Development, the charitable and academic community, as well as support for the cause in business and faith sectors.
We are looking to develop a range of partnerships to achieve our aims this with the aim of raising awareness of the impact of malaria internationally and increasing the volume and efficiency of the resources available to tackle it.
Our running costs
The costs of running our charity are covered by grants from partners and healthcare foundations such as like the Gates Foundation. This means that 100% allof all your donations will go directly to buying bed nets.
